Eligibility
Do you qualify?
- You're a legitimate, active consumer of one of the six distributors (DESCO, DPDC, BPDB, Palli Bidyut, NESCO, WZPDCL)
- No outstanding electricity bills
- You own the roof, or have the owner's written permission
- The system's capacity is within your sanctioned load (since 2025, up to 100% of it)
- You have a Single Line Diagram (SLD) prepared by an engineer

Who pays
Buy it yourself, or have it installed for you
The 2025 guideline allows two ownership routes. CAPEX: you buy and install the system yourself and keep the full saving. OPEX / third-party: a company installs it on your roof at its own cost and you pay an agreed rate for the energy it generates — solar without the big upfront bill. The National Rooftop Solar Programme runs on both models.
